I use this when I run out of milk for my coffee and tea, as well as adding to gravy or some baked goods. It dissolves rapidly and doesn't make lumps (Organic Valley nonfat PM requires whipping or shaking vigorously). I like that it is made in Holland as I think the EU has healthier rules regarding animal husbandry and resultant quality. Also this is the ONLY full cream powdered product brand I have found. Yes, it's a bit pricey and yes I wish it were organic, but for my needs this is the best one out there. I'll be glad when Amazon carries the larger more cost effective cans.

This milk is the best. Mixes well in cold water. I use it for cereal, cooking and in my morning cuppa. Being a shut-in, I may never go back to fresh milk, since I have to rely on friends to take me to the store. Nothing could be easier and the flavor is top-notch. This milk also has a higher butterfat content than regular whole U.S. milk, coming in at 3.7% (Whole milk in the USA is 3%).

I started buying this product when the price of powdered milk at the grocery store went up and it tasted terrible. I used the powdered milk in my homemade bread and sometimes the granules wouldn't dissolve. Nido is a fine powder and dissolves instantly. It works great in bread and other baking,plus it works great as an instant milk for regular drinking. I also like the fact that now the Nido from Holland is available. I use to buy the Nido from Mexico in my local supermarket, but it has not been available for almost a year now. If you don't like powdered milk, try this one, I think you will be impressed.

Our one year old son has made the transition from formula to whole milk. This posed a dilemma when traveling outside the country because we couldn't take enough milk with us for the long-haul flight (almost 24 hrs) and were concerned about the taste and hygienic standards of the whole milk available at our destination. Some friends recommended Nido. We were very familiar with the brand from our time outside the USA but found it rare over here. Found it on Amazon, the tins arrived on time, and our son took to it without any problems! I must add, though, that if you are in a big city, you can find this at an ethnic grocery store for a better price.

Dry WHOLE milk and shelf stable! Great Mashed Potatoes! May 01, 2009

This NIDO dry whole milk is so great to have on hand! This is the BEST in mashed potatoes - gives them all that creamy whole milk flavor WITHOUT thinning the potatoes too much. Just use 1/2 cup powder (for a mixer bowl full of potatoes) and margarine, or butter, to taste. Awesome! We also keep Nido in our "preparedness/emergency stockpile," and in the kitchen, for those times when you need a little milk but are OUT. We also use the powder in baking, especially bread. Tasty and easy to use, and all the convenience of shelf stable. Each can makes 3 1/4 quarts of whole milk, or you can make only a cup at a time. Recommended!
